We did it!!! What an
amazing ride! I am deeply appreciative for all the help and support.
With a nearly 10,000 vote margin of victory, I recognize the edict
that the voters of Black Hawk County have sent. Now, the hard
work begins. I expect all citizens to hold me accountable for
promises made and promises kept during this election. Please
see me as an asset and as a resource. Do not hesitate to call
on me for help. I know I will be calling on many of you
for the same. I am so very thankful to all those who have
helped me in this endeavor and greatly appreciative for all the
support, prayers and good words. Your votes and convictions to
the future of the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office motivate me in
these new beginnings of the next chapter of our agency. Please do

Tony Thompson Announces Candidacy for Black Hawk County Sheriff
Following 14 years of service to the Black Hawk County Sheriff’s
Office and 19 year of service to the Iowa Army National Guard as a
Military Police Officer, Deputy Tony Thompson is proud to announce
his candidacy for the office of Sheriff for Black Hawk County.
“The timing is appropriate to make this announcement, while politics
are at the forefront of everyone’s mind.” says Thompson. “I intend
to run a strong, clean campaign that emphasizes my experience and my
strengths, and I look forward to meeting with citizens and taxpayers
to listen to their suggestions and share my ideas.”
